Whiplash injuries can cause severe discomfort and pain.
What is whiplash?
Whiplash is when your spine, usually your head and neck, are thrown very quickly and unexpectedly in one direction and then rebounds to the opposite direction (usually by accident or trauma). When this happens, an extreme example of vertebral subluxation occurs.
Whiplash Symptoms
You may experience one or all of these symptoms:
- neck stiffness or soreness
- headache
- pain and/or numbness develops
- tingling between shoulder blades, arm, hand, and/or fingers develops
- dizziness
- concussion
